Chez Ali: dinner, folklore and the Fantasia, with your hotel transfer included
The legendary Marrakech dinner show, booked through Traces Berbères Voyages. A driver collects you at your hotel or riad, you dine under the caidal tents while ten folk troupes pass your table, then the horsemen charge in the arena. The same driver brings you back.
Chez Ali has run every evening since 1982, from 8 pm to midnight. Dinner, the folklore show and the Fantasia cost 60 € per person with a free return hotel transfer, and ten folk troupes from across Morocco perform each night.

The evening
Three acts, from 8 pm to midnight
Horsemen escort you in and a rain of rose petals opens the evening. You dine under the tents while ten folk troupes from Khenifra, Amizmiz, Ouarzazate, Ourika, Azilal and Marrakech parade between the tables. Everyone then moves around the arena for the belly dancer, the stunt riders and the Fantasia charge.

Three fixed menus, all 60 € per person, drinks not included: Tagine, Mechoui (wood-fire roasted lamb) or Vegetarian. Each includes the harira, seven-vegetable couscous, jawhara, mint tea and pastries, plus the show and your transfer.

Your booking is placed with Chez Ali. You receive the confirmation, the pick-up time and the meeting point by WhatsApp or e-mail.

Since 1982
The story of Chez Ali
At the end of the 1970s, Ali Benfallah, a guide from Marrakech who spoke several languages, wanted a permanent home for the spring festival of musicians, singers and riders. He bought desert land in the Palmeraie and, with a handful of companions, raised the first Berber tent in 1982. Then came the walls, the esplanade, the stables, lodgings for the artists and a kitchen able to feed 3,000 guests.

Questions we hear most
Is the transfer really included?
Yes. Our three packages include the free return transfer between your hotel or riad in Marrakech and the restaurant. The evening starts at 8 pm; the exact pick-up time is confirmed with your booking.
Are drinks included?
No. All Chez Ali menus are served without drinks. At the restaurant, a drinks package costs 250 MAD per person, and the podium terrace with unlimited drinks costs 300 MAD per person.
Is there a vegetarian option?
Yes. The restaurant prepares vegetarian dishes on request. Our vegetarian package (60 €) includes a vegetable tagine or an omelette instead of the meat dish.
Can children come?
Yes, families are welcome and children usually love the horses. Tell us the ages when you book and we will confirm the children's rate.
